Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a flair for creativity, and the ability to manage a busy kitchen environment. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production, menu creation, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Duties
* Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
* Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
* Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
* Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimise waste and maintain cost efficiency.
* Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
* Assist in the development of special events or catering menus as required.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food production techniques.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
* Knowledge of current food safety regulations and best practices.
