Critical Care Nurse (Plymouth) (Per Diem)

This role involves providing nursing services in a vascular Office-Based Lab setting. The Critical Care Nurse will collaborate with clinical leadership on management, clinical, and patient care duties, acting within scope of practice and under the authority of the attending surgeon. Responsibilities and duties are within the limits established by the physician staff and consistent with the statutes of the Massachusetts Board of Nursing. This is a per-diem role, called as needed.
The nurse reports to the Office Manager for operational matters and to the Lead Office Based Lab Nurse for clinical matters.
Responsibilities
* Uphold AAAASF standards.
* Assist with daily outpatient endovascular center operations, including reviewing scheduled cases, maintaining infection control, stocking medications and supplies, ensuring adequate staffing, safety standards, and maintaining patient and narcotic logs.
* Manage patient care from pre-procedure to discharge, including providing instructions, conducting post-procedure calls within 24 hours, maintaining comprehensive medical records, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort.
* Oversee safety standards and equipment maintenance according to AAAASF standards.
* Perform other duties as directed by clinical leadership.
Requirements
* Graduate of an accredited nursing school, minimum BSN.
* Registered nurse in Massachusetts.
* BLS and ACLS certifications.
* Experience in ICU or ED is required; PACU experience is helpful.
* Ability to stand for long periods and follow instructions precisely.
* Willingness to be available for local and regional assignments.
* Effective communication skills and proficient use of computerized systems.
