Overview
Our client, a high-performing further education provider, is seeking an experienced Curriculum Manager – Maths to lead and develop its mathematics provision. This is a full-time leadership role with responsibility for GCSE Mathematics and some Functional Skills delivery.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping curriculum strategy, driving excellence in teaching and learning, and improving learner outcomes across the provision.
Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and develop the maths curriculum, including GCSE and Functional Skills programmes
* Deliver approximately 7.5 hours of teaching per week
* Drive high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment across the curriculum area
* Design and implement innovative, evidence-based pedagogical approaches
* Monitor learner progress, performance, and achievement to ensure outstanding outcomes
* Lead, coach, and develop teaching teams to deliver consistent quality
* Work collaboratively with cross-college teams to enhance inclusion, progression, and learner experience
* Ensure safeguarding, equality, and inclusion are embedded in all curriculum activity
Requirements
* Demonstrable leadership and team development experience within an educational setting
* Passion for learner success and high-quality teaching performance
* Strong understanding of quality assurance, performance monitoring, and data-informed improvement
* Clear commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
* Willingness to undergo safeguarding checks, including enhanced DBS clearance
* Competitive salary of £45,395 – £49,043 per annum
