Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Business Development Associate to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Sussex area. As the Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the Business Development Manager and the wider commercial team in building a strong pipeline of opportunities for our client. This role is focused on lead generation, research, prospect engagement, and sales support, with the goal of developing into a client-facing business development professional over time.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Your duties as the Business Development Associate will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
* Conduct desk research to identify new potential clients in target markets (UK, EU, North America).
* Maintain Salesforce with accurate and up-to-date prospect, lead, and opportunity data.
* Coordinate distribution of targeted marketing materials and collateral to prospects.
* Join initial discovery calls where appropriate to take notes and ensure follow-up actions are tracked.
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Business Development Associate we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
* Relevant degree in a science, business, or related discipline (preferred but not essential).
* Proven industry experience in sales, lead generation, or a commercial support role.
* A working knowledge and practical experience with CRM systems (ideally Salesforce).
