PRODUCT MANAGER

Our client is a specialist agency serving the UK higher education sector. Alongside their core service offer, they are developing a suite of data‑led products designed to help universities make better marketing, recruitment, and planning decisions.
They are now seeking a Product Manager to lead the shaping and development of these emerging products. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in ambiguity, translating client and business needs into clear product direction, and coordinating delivery across a small internal team and external technical partners.
The Product Manager will drive discovery and validation, maintain product priorities and roadmap direction, and guide ideas from early concept through to pilot and early release. Strong stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and the ability to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and evolve product strategy, identifying market opportunities, customer problems, and areas for commercial value and strategic differentiation
* Work closely with leadership, commercial teams, clients, and external technical partners to align priorities, communicate trade‑offs, and maintain momentum
* Create and manage the product roadmap, prioritising opportunities, features, and enhancements based on insight, feasibility, and capacity
* Lead product discovery with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders to understand user needs, test assumptions, and validate opportunities
* Ensure appropriate consideration of data quality, governance, security, and regulatory requirements, including GDPR
* Define and track success measures for product initiatives, pilots, and releases, using qualitative and quantitative feedback to inform iteration and future direction
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Product Manager, ideally with digital or data‑led products
* Comfortable working in ambiguity and shaping early‑stage products or propositions
* Ability to translate user, market, and business insight into clear priorities and practical delivery plans
* Strong stakeholder management skills across leadership, commercial, client, and technical groups
* Solid understanding of product discovery, validation, roadmap management, and iterative delivery
* Experience in the higher education sector (preferred)
