About the role:
1. Hold and manage a defined caseload of individuals accessing support for ketamine use, ensuring proactive engagement, regular review, and timely progression through treatment pathways.
2. Conduct comprehensive assessments with a specific focus on patterns, risks, and health impacts related to ketamine use (., bladder complications, cognitive issues, dependency patterns).
3. Develop collaborative, person‑centred recovery plans that reflect individual goals, strengths, risks, and preferred models of support.
4. Deliver evidence‑based, structured 1:1 interventions tailored to ketamine use, including harm-reduction, relapse prevention, motivational interviewing, and education.
5. Provide clear guidance on safe use, overdose/medical risk awareness, bladder health, and mental health risks associated with ketamine.
6. Facilitate structured group work or workshops where appropriate.
7. Where appropriate, offer support and guidance to families, carers, or significant others affected by ketamine use.
8. Promote service accessibility and awareness through outreach, partnership events, and community engagement.
About you:
9. Understanding of the health impacts associated with ketamine use (including bladder health, cognitive effects, dependency patterns).
10. Knowledge of harm-reduction approaches, relapse prevention, and recovery-oriented care.
11. Knowledge of local treatment pathways, referral routes, and medical support available for ketamine-related conditions.
12. Understanding of co-occurring mental health conditions and dual diagnosis.
