Encon Staffing Associates are looking for a motivated and personable Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our growing construction recruitment team. This role covers both temporary blue-collar trades & labour placements as well as freelance and permanent white-collar construction professionals, offering a varied and fast-paced environment with excellent long-term career potential.

What the Role Involves
As a trainee consultant, you’ll learn all aspects of recruitment while supporting experienced team members and gradually building your own desk.
Typical responsibilities include:

Sourcing and registering construction candidates for both site-based and professional roles
*
Speaking regularly with candidates and clients via phone, email and online platforms
*
Coordinating temporary labour bookings and supporting permanent placements
*
Writing job adverts and managing candidate pipelines
*
Using job boards, databases and social media to attract talent
*
Supporting compliance, referencing and onboarding processes
*
Maintaining strong relationships with clients and candidates
You’ll receive guidance and training throughout your 6-month probation period to help you build confidence and industry knowledge.

About You — Ideal Candidate Profile
We’re looking for someone proactive, organised and comfortable speaking with people.
You’ll likely have:

A driving licence (preferred due to the nature of the industry)
*
Background in sales, customer service, administration or similar
*
Confidence and professionalism on the phone
*
Good organisational and communication skills
*
Solid IT literacy
Experience with the following would be advantageous:

Microsoft Office — particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
*
Social media posting, content creation or candidate attraction activity
*
Any exposure to recruitment, construction, or staffing environments
Most importantly, we value attitude, reliability and willingness to learn over direct industry experience.
