Service Users:LD - Children with autism and learning difficulties, inclusive of complex communication, sensory, and behavioural support needs.
Working Hours:Mon to Fri, 9am to 5.30pm

About the Provider
The company is a provider of both Children and Adult Services, specifically taking LD referrals.
You will be within the Children’s Services Division:
Our client operates Children’s Homes, creating small, warm, and homely environments for 4 to 6 children aged 8-18. These homes resemble family homes, boasting excellent resources, ample staffing, and highly trained teams, ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere.
Children may join from family homes, foster families, or other children’s homes, seeking an alternative due to challenging circumstances. Our client recognizes the emotional challenges families face during this transition and collaborates closely with them as the child moves in and resides with them, prioritising the family's importance in the child's life.

About the Home
This is a new Home and will open in early Summer of 2024
All the homes in the company are currently Ofsted rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ and this home will follow suit.
The home will accommodate 4 Children aged 8 to 17 on admission.
The team will be new and as the Registered Manager you will be integral to the recruitment, retention and development of key staff at home (Team Leaders, Deputy Managers)
Your Role
With support from the RI in-house therapists and MDTs, you will have overall responsibility for the management, leadership, and direction of this new home. You will achieve the highest standards of performance to help exceed our client’s quality standards and performance, resulting in unmatched levels of support provided to the young people within their care.
The role will be busy and varied, and you will take the operational lead for all safeguarding matters. You will also be responsible for training, supervision, and providing advice to support and develop the children’s Residential Home. Working as a Registered Manager, you must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have a positive experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood.
About You:
You will have significant experience working in a residential childcare setting, and it is desired that you have experience in complex health & physical disabilities.
You will have a commitment to delivering high-quality care according to OFSTED regulations. You will also have a good understanding of SCCIF guidelines to help focus on the things that matter most to children’s lives.
You will also hold a current UK Driving License
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Residential Management) / Level 5 Diploma qualification in Leadership in Health & Social Care, or the willingness to work towards it. However, you must have supervisory or management experience to meet OFSTED regulation requirements.
