In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the workload of Asendia’s Air Conveyances’ team, to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard and in line with the company’s value proposition, assuring a quality service in a healthy work environment.
With the ability to make good decisions, you will ensure that tasks are effectively delegated and handovers are completed at the end of every shift. The successful applicant must be security cleared for an airside pass and be in possession of a valid Level D Certificate. You must also hold a valid forklift licence, a full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
Your tasks include but are not limited to:
Coordinate and lead the warehouse team, assigning daily duties and monitoring performance
Manage transport bookings, including ad-hoc collections, and liaise with drivers and transport providers
Handle Customs entry processes in line with regulatory requirements
Communicate with airlines and resolve any delivery or documentation discrepancies
Ensure all forklift operators are certified, competent, and authorized to operate equipment
Provide hands-on support on the warehouse floor when operationally required
Ensure rotational shift pattern is maintained, and that an appropriate handover is carried out at the end of shifts Maintain shift rotation schedules and ensure thorough handovers between shifts
Operate dispatching systems and Customs software proficiently (full training provided)
Ensure strict adherence to all CAA security regulations and internal screening procedures, promoting a culture of vigilance and compliance in all security matters

You will have a good financial understanding of the business’ activity, excellent English communication skills and are willing to follow manual and computer led tasks
You have shift flexibility (shifts will include Sundays)
You constantly look for improvements and have a critical view towards the processes and systems
Be a team player who is willing to provide cover for other Operations management/supervisory team members when required
You have good organisational skills, and therefore can manage time effectively to complete workloads and meet deadlines
Workplace in Heathrow on a 4 on 4 off shift basis (10.5 hours per day)
