Transport Planner (Heavy Haulage) | Warwickshire| Competitive Salary up to £40-50k
Are you an experienced Transport Planner with a background in heavy haulage? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to support the planning and execution of complex transport operations, ensuring compliance with STGO regulations and delivering exceptional service to customers.

Are you an experienced Transport Planner with a background in heavy haulage? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to support the planning and execution of complex transport operations, ensuring compliance with STGO regulations and delivering exceptional service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in planning and scheduling a cost-effective heavy haulage transport fleet.
* Prepare and submit STGO Category 3 route notifications, liaising with local authorities and structural owners to ensure safe and efficient routes.
* Coordinate with police forces to arrange cost-effective abnormal load escorts.
* Work closely with customers and internal teams to optimise fleet utilisation and reschedule work as needed.
* Brief and support heavy haulage and escort drivers, ensuring clear communication of job requirements.
* Oversee vehicle maintenance scheduling in coordination with workshops.
* Provide out-of-hours support on a rota basis for live projects.
* Maintain transport management system records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in planning and scheduling a multi-vehicle fleet.
* Strong knowledge of abnormal load route notifications and STGO regulations.
* IT proficiency and experience with transport planning software.
* Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
* Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
* OLAT Training or Transport Manager CPC.
* Familiarity with technical drawings.
* GCSEs or equivalent in Maths & English.
