Prospero Teaching are seeking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual to join our client Primary Schools admin team in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Headteacher and other office staff, leading key aspects of administration.

Although previous experience is desirable, it is not essential. The school provide on-the-job training and support, ensuring you feel confident and equipped for the role. What matters most is finding the right person-someone who is warm, welcoming, positive, a quick learner with an eye for detail, and who possesses fantastic organisational skills.

We are looking for someone who possesses:

1. Good maths and English skills (GCSE Grade C or equivalent)

2. Excellent communication skills and confidence in using IT applications (, spreadsheets, databases)

3. A sense of humour and positive approach

4. Patience, flexibility, and initiative

5. The ability to build strong relationships with team members, parents, and governors

6. A reflective mindset and a commitment to professional development

Key Responsibilities:

7. Supporting front-of-house administration, including answering phones, hospitality, first aid, and correspondence

8. Processing payments linked to school dinners, lettings, and other financial matters

9. Leading curriculum enrichment administration, such as organising school clubs and trips

10. Maintaining the school’s social media presence and website

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

11. Hold right to work in the UK
12. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
13. Provide references upon request
14. Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
