Overview
Trafford Elective Surgical Hub (TESH) is a newly established service aimed at increasing surgical capacity while embracing the HPL programme to help reduce the backlog of patients awaiting planned operations. The hub provides a variety of specialties, including General Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, ENT, Adult and Paediatric Dental, Urology, Breast, Plastics, Vascular Access, Gender‑affirmation Surgery, and Robotic surgeries. We have eleven theatres in total located across four areas, closely linked with Ward 12 (the surgical admission unit), and offer both day‑case and inpatient care.
You will support Team Managers to ensure the delivery of high‑quality care and act as an advocate and role model for the wider nursing team. We are looking to recruit Anaesthetic and Recovery staff who are flexible, open, honest, and focused on striving for excellence, building on our international reputation for clinical excellence, research, teaching, learning, and compassionate, respectful care for patients.
Responsibilities
* Support Team Managers to deliver high‑quality care and support the wider nursing team as an advocate and role model.
* Be responsible for the assessment and delivery of care for the peri‑operative patient, implementing and continually evaluating nursing care to optimise outcomes.
* Participate in the teaching and supervision of junior staff and in the teaching of students on both basic and post‑basic courses.
* Maintain personal and professional development and participate in the effective utilisation of resources.
* Act in accordance with the NMC/HCPC Professional Code of Conduct.
