GSL Education are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants (SEN Tas) to join schools across Doncaster. About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to provide tailored support to pupils with SEN. You will assist in delivering engaging lessons, support learning on a 1:1 and small group basis and help create a nurturing classroom where every child can achieve their best. Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN. Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities adapted to pupils’ needs. Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development. Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence. Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents. Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment. SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Requirements: Previous experience working with children, ideally those with SEN, is desirable. CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualifications preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to different learning needs and provide individualised support. A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
