We are currently expanding our Suffolk team of weekend child contact supervisors.
A child contact centre offers a welcoming space for children and a parent or their significant others not currently living with them to spend time together. The children we work with may be living with a parent, an extended family member or foster carers. We also provide community-based child contact services and family support.
Our supervisors sit in on family time between parent and child/ren.
We need flexible and available candidates, able to work regularly on at least one day of the weekend, not necessarily Saturdays and Sundays, but sessions are often weekly and the family is allocated to a supervisor, so continuity is important. Typical session length is around 2-3hrs, but it varies by family. Occasionally there may be some weekday sessions available for those with more availability.
Candidates must have a background working with families and/or children
