Tradewind Recruitment is actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Remote Tutor to provide crucial one-to-one support for students with diverse Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the Hull area. As a remote tutor, you will be the key to unlocking their potential, delivering bespoke academic sessions and fostering a positive relationship through an engaging online platform. Your role will involve more than just teaching; you will be a mentor, building trust and helping students re-engage with their education.
About the Role
This position is for an experienced professional who understands that education extends beyond the curriculum. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Creating Custom Learning Plans: Developing and implementing individualised learning plans that are highly creative, engaging, and specifically designed to meet each student's unique needs and interests.
2. Building a Strong Rapport: Establishing a safe and supportive virtual environment, using your expertise to build a strong rapport with students who may be anxious or disengaged from traditional schooling.
3. Targeted Academic Support: Focusing on core subjects to address specific academic gaps and build foundational skills, ultimately helping students to regain confidence and make measurable progress.
4. Consistent Communication: Providing regular and detailed feedback on student progress to parents, guardians, and our team, ensuring a collaborative approach to the student's success.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a dedicated educator with a proven track record. The ideal candidate will have:
5. A strong background in supporting students with SEN or SEMH. This experience is essential for understanding and responding to complex needs.
