Job Overview
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) play a key role in enabling people with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes. You will support individuals with their personal care, moving and handling, positive behavioural support and social networks, helping them to live their lives as they wish.
Responsibilities
* Assist individuals with personal care and daily living activities.
* Provide moving and handling support to ensure safety and comfort.
* Facilitate positive behavioural support and promote independence.
* Expand social networks and connections, encouraging participation in interests and hobbies.
* Collaborate with team members to meet safety, wellbeing and aspiration goals.
Qualifications
* Adept at adapting communication style to form successful relationships with people you support.
* Commitment to work with individuals through their personal support plans to achieve goals.
* Positive, flexible outlook and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
