Randstad are looking for Residential Childcare Workers to join our dedicated and expert team providing support for children with social, emotional and behavioural issues ages 10-18 with past trauma. A successful residential childcare worker will responsible for:
* Encouraging the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of the children in the service
* Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with children in the service and acting as a key worker to children
* Utilise positive behaviour techniques
* Coordinating with teachers, social workers and wider care team to monitor and advance the needs of young people
* Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards
* Promoting participation in education and life skills programmes
To be successful in your application, you will:
* Have previous experience working in a residential setting with young people
* Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
* Have strong communication skills
* Register under the PVG scheme
* Full driving licence
* Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
