Vice President – Aerospace & Defence Client Lead
Role: Capgemini – Lead our Aerospace & Defence (A&D) segment within the MALS (Manufacturing, Automotive & Life Sciences) market unit.
About The Job You Are Considering: Demand in the Aerospace & Defence (A&D) market is high and growing, driven by a strong recovery in commercial aviation and significant increases in global defence spending. This demand is leading to a major push for investment in infrastructure, particularly digital and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Drive strategy, shape our offers, develop capability within the A&D segment, and lead sales & delivery work with new and existing clients.
* Business development – utilising our broader pre-existing relationships and your own network to drive our ambition to treble revenues in the sector over the next two years.
* Define target strategy, team composition and recruit consultants; mentor team members for effective development.
* Engage with existing and potential clients, developing relationship with senior members of the A&D sector.
* Drive consulting and technology offerings to new and existing clients, ensuring offerings are relevant and timely.
* Act as an authority and thought leader.
* Ensure effective delivery and timely completion of projects in alignment with commercial goals.
* Externally bring presence & gravitas to initiate, manage & maintain board / senior‑management relationships.
* Understand client challenges and scope solutions to sell & deliver top‑tier consulting & technology‑enabled business transformation work.
Skills & Experience
* Deep Aerospace & Defence sector expertise with experience across one or more parts of the value chain.
* Strong personal skills for overcoming internal barriers through drive, determination and influence.
* Ability to work in mixed teams of colleagues and senior executives; outstanding communication & interpersonal skills.
* Experience building & managing a team, providing direction, helping others to develop.
* Professionalism, flexibility & ability to adapt to changing tasks / location, shifting priorities or ambiguity.
* Commitment to own & deliver outstanding work with gravitas to engage C‑level / CXOs at a peer‑to‑peer level.
* Experience delivering end‑to‑end P&L for an account or sector.
Security Clearance
Developed Vetting (DV) – To be successfully appointed to this role, you must obtain Developed Vetting clearance. You must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last ten years and meet other detailed criteria.
