Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Usability & Human Factors Specialist based in Cardiff, with the opportunity for remote work flexibility. The role involves conducting task analysis, user research, and usability engineering to enhance the design and safety of medical devices. The specialist will apply human-computer interaction and human factors expertise to ensure products meet user needs and regulatory requirements while improving overall user experience and satisfaction.
Qualifications & Expectations
* Desigree & MSc in Product Design/Usability Engineering is essential
* 4+ years experience in the medical device sector
* Proficiency in Task Analysis and User Research to identify and address user needs effectively
* Experience in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and Human Factors to optimize product design for usability
* Expertise in Usability Engineering processes and techniques related to medical devices
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams
* Familiarity with industry regulations and standards relevant to usability in medical device development
* Degree in Human Factors, Interaction Design, Psychology, Engineering, or a related field
