This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sustainability Manager to join our South-West business, delivering the requirements of our sustainability strategy on landmark projects in Somerset and Bristol.

The Senior Sustainability Manager role
The remit of this role is to translate our company requirements into action at project level and ensure that the interests and requirements of our client and project are addressed through strategy development, review, and implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring accurate and robust data to demonstrate achievements and inform future direction.
2. Being a visible sustainability champion across the business, ensuring a consistent approach aligned with the company's sustainability strategy, including themes such as embodied carbon, lifecycle cost assessment, circular economy, and biodiversity.
3. Participating actively in company sustainability working groups, such as the Science Based Target Task Force.
4. Providing support and education to supply chain members to achieve sustainability strategy targets.
5. Owning the case study process, ensuring best practices are communicated across the business.
6. Providing sustainability advice during PQQ, tender, and PCSAs, including risks, opportunities, and presentations to clients and professional teams.
7. Leading design and specification reviews to meet performance requirements of both company and client, including BREEAM, WELL, or other environmental assessments.
8. Delivering environmental management and sustainability training on projects.
9. Monitoring project performance and reporting against Build Sure, ensuring effective use of reporting tools.
Your profile
Ideally, your profile will include:
1. Experience in managing and mentoring sustainability project team members.
2. Maintenance of an ISO14001-certified Environmental Management System.
3. Embedding sustainability requirements into project, client, and company documentation, and ensuring delivery on site.
4. Implementation of community investment initiatives and Section 106 obligations.
5. Management of environmental assessments such as BREEAM.
6. Conducting site inspections and internal audits to measure environmental performance.
