Who We Are
Arriva Road Transport Services oversee and manage all aspects of coaches, buses, taxis, and coordinators for rail replacement, special events, school support, and train crew support across our customer portfolio within ARTS, both in planned and emergency situations.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Coordination Manager, you'll play a crucial role in managing a team of coordinators, ensuring timely, efficient, and high-quality rail replacement services.
* Managing Coordinators: Lead and manage Coordinators and Senior Coordinators, organize training, and conduct check-ins.
* Shift Allocation: Oversee manual shift allocations, including cancellations and amendments.
* Cost Effectiveness: Allocate duties safely, cost-effectively, and efficiently.
* Recruitment: Recruit, interview, onboard, and train coordinators; maintain personnel files in line with GDPR.
* Communication: Respond to enquiries from train operators and customers, fostering good relationships.
* Administration: Complete paperwork, monitor shifts, and distribute weekly coordinator packs.
* Reporting: Provide updates on staffing and shifts, conduct system audits.
* Payroll: Ensure shifts are allocated correctly on the portal (BRAS) and payroll system.
* HR: Collaborate with HR and the Coordination Manager to support coordinators' welfare and address concerns.
What you need
* Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths; a degree in Business Administration or similar is advantageous.
* Experience in recruiting, performance evaluation, finance, or customer service roles.
* Strong teamworking and leadership skills.
* Excellent organization skills to handle multiple requests and priorities.
* Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for reports and problem-solving.
* Proficiency with IT software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and payroll systems.
* Good knowledge of UK geography, roads, routes, and railways.
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with teams and managing a large staff roster.
