We are seeking a highly motivated and organised AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY TECHNICIAN to join our dynamic team at our COCKERMOUTH Country Store and Machinery Depot. The Job

* Providing hands-on technical support in a busy workshop and out in the field.
* Working closely with the Workshop Foreman to ensure smooth operations and top-tier service.
* Taking ownership of the Customer Care process, keeping our customers engaged and satisfied.
* Ensuring Dealer Standards are met and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.
* Supporting the Workshop Manager in achieving targets and identifying new opportunities.
* Collaborating with the Parts Department, sales team, and other branches to keep everything running like clockwork.
* Diagnosing and repairing complex faults in machinery and equipment.
* Performing pre-delivery inspections, scheduled maintenance, and safety checks.
* Preparing and assembling equipment for repair or installation.
* Maintaining and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
* Compiling repair proposals and delivering cost-effective solutions.
* Handing over machinery to customers with confidence and clarity.
* Adherence to Company and Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.
* Ensuring that all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes.

Note: A strong technical background in agricultural machinery, power tools or similar agricultural equipment, a proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for customer service, and excellent communication skills are essential.


Qualifications

* Holds a full UK driving licence.
* Knowledge of Agriculture.
* Adopts a flexible approach to work and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
* Team player with an organised approach to work and the ability to work using own initiative.
* Excellent customer service skills, with an appreciation for our customer base.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well across departments.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for customer service.
* Desirable: Confident and competent user of Microsoft applications systems and fully IT literate. Previous experience of using CRM, IBCOS or similar software.
