Cognitive Behavioral Specialist role at Your Health
We are looking for a dedicated candidate to join our team as a Cognitive Behavioral Specialist (CBS) to service our patients in the Aiken area. CBS should ensure a holistic approach by coordinating behavioral interventions with medical treatment, supporting caregivers, and helping patients achieve improved quality of life. This candidate should have a background addressing the behavioral and emotional needs of patients living with anxiety, depression, and cognitive decline—including dementia and mild cognitive impairment.
Cognitive Behavioral Specialist performs visits in facilities (ALF and ILF's) in their designated service area. This is a full-time, salary-based position with 8-hour shifts (Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM-5:00 PM).

What Are We Looking For?
Your Health is currently looking for a Cognitive Behavioral Specialist to join our growing primary care family. CBSs play a crucial role on our interdisciplinary care teams, addressing the behavioral and emotional needs of patients living with anxiety, depression, and cognitive decline—including dementia and mild cognitive impairment. CBSs ensure a holistic approach by coordinating behavioral interventions with medical treatment, supporting caregivers, and helping patients achieve improved quality of life.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience working with individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments
* Actively enrolled or willing to enroll in the Your Health Dementia Apprenticeship Program
* Certification in dementia care (or actively pursuing certification) preferred
* Familiarity with behavioral health medications commonly used in this population
Preferred Backgrounds
* Experience in roles such as Activities Director for dementia units, CNA, MA, Nurse, or other direct care staff in memory care or geriatrics
* Clinical background not required but considered beneficial
