CMM Programmer Medical Device Precision Engineering Rotherham | On-site | Permanent - Up to £35,000 p/a / Day Shifts - 4 day condensed working week. We’re supporting a growing precision engineering manufacturer in Rotherham that produces high-quality instruments and components for global customers. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to add a hands-on Quality Inspector with strong CMM capability to their on-site quality team. This is a practical, shop-floor role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with production and engineering, programming CMMs, and taking real ownership of inspection quality. What you’ll be doing: Programming and operating CMMs Creating pre-programmed CMM routines ahead of production Carrying out first-off, in-process, and final inspections Performing manual inspection using micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc. Interpreting complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD data Producing clear inspection reports and quality records Supporting NCRs, root cause analysis, and CAPA Working closely with production, engineering, and quality colleagues Contributing to continuous improvement and inspection efficiency What they’re looking for: Proven experience as a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer Working knowledge of CMM best practice Confident reading and applying GD&T A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a strong attention to detail Why this role?
