Salary: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a specialist school in Poulton-le-Fylde to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team this November. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils who require additional guidance and encouragement to thrive both academically and emotionally.
About the Role:
* Supporting students aged 7–16 with SEMH needs, often with additional diagnoses such as ADHD, autism, or trauma-related behaviours.
* Working 1:1 and in small groups to deliver tailored interventions.
* Assisting the class teacher with behaviour management and lesson engagement.
* Promoting emotional regulation and positive social interactions.
* Collaborating with SENCOs, therapists, and external agencies.
✅ Requirements:
* Experience working with children with SEMH or challenging behaviour (school, residential, or youth work settings).
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
* Team Teach or similar de-escalation training is desirable (but not essential – training can be provided).
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
* Right to work in the UK.
