Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: Port Talbot, Wales Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £39,000 JDR are working with a leading manufacturer, who have the aim to be one of the top UK manufacturers within their sector. Due to an increase in production and the installation of new machinery, they are looking for a Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the team at the Port Talbot site. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role will entail maintaining and repairing equipment within the factory to minimise downtime and increase production with main duties to include: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and Breakdown/Reactive Maintenance of machinery. Ensure machinery and equipment is maintained to a safe operating standard. Identify spares/parts that require procuring and report back to engineering manager. Carry out / assist with equipment installations. Keep up to date with housekeeping in the workshop and engineering storage areas. Ensure maintenance and engineering practices comply with BRC requirements. Mainly electrically-based tasks but will also require working knowledge and experience of mechanical systems, pneumatics & hydraulics, fabrication, pipework as well as PPM and reactive maintenance. Carry out any necessary maintenance / installation work to buildings / facilities etc REQUIREMENTS 3 years industrial electrical experience. Mechanical and fabrication experience beneficial. Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical & pneumatic drawings Knowledge of electronics and P.L.C's. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Excellent communication & numerical skills Ability to use own initiative & good organisational skills Ability to manage and deal with change in a fast moving and demanding environment. whilst still maintaining standards set within the business. Good attendance and time-keeping. An individual that can continue to make improvements and upgrades to increase production and improve safety. Knowledge of Microsoft Office would be beneficial. A full UK driving license and a valid FLT counter balance certificate are preferred. JOB DETAILS Job type: Full time, permanent Hours: 40 hours per week; Working day shifts. 8.00 am. to 9.00 pm.
