We are looking for two enthusiastic people to join our busy waste collection team working Monday to Friday, where you will carry out the delivery of both wheeled and Euro bins to our customers, across both Bromsgrove and Redditch areas. Responsible for the efficient delivery of wheeled bins to customers across our working areas, you will have a can do attitude and be able to work alone and as part of a wider team. Supporting both our residual and commercial services, you will have a flexible approach to the role and be able to manage daily paperwork to effectively plan your daily delivery routes to maximise the number of deliveries, whilst operating to demanding deadlines. You will hold a clean full UK driving licence, have experience of and be comfortable driving large Luton vans and be experienced in working with tail lifts. You will be self motivated and be able to work in all weathers all day. You will have a good understanding of both Bromsgrove and Redditch areas, as well as the wider West Midlands area. Reporting to the operational waste management team you will be able to effectively communicate verbally and follow written instructions, whilst being able to manage constantly changing workloads and delivery locations. You will need to have a good level of physical fitness to be able to move multiple bins as well as being able to manage bins within our depots. You will be able to commute to and work from both of our depots, located in Bromsgrove and Redditch. Key Skills for the role: Essential Skills: Hold a clean full UK driving licence and be able to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. Be an effective communicator at all levels and be able to liaise with the public, as well as interpreting written and verbal instructions. Have an demonstratable good attendance record and and be punctual. Be able to work in all weathers carrying out manual duties. Have a good working knowledge of Bromsgrove and Redditch areas. Have a full understanding of the H&S at work act, its principals and how to work safely to risk assessments and safe working practices. Desirable Skills: An understanding of what good customer care looks like. Flexible, can-do attitude to the role and changing service demands. Self motivated. Trained in the use of hand power tools.
