The Role:
As a Land Manager, you will be instrumental in identifying, evaluating, and acquiring land opportunities to support the company's growth in Essex. You will work closely with the Land and Planning teams to deliver future development projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Identifying and securing land opportunities through negotiations and agreements.
* Managing the land buying process within the Land and Planning team.
* Conducting detailed site searches to identify new opportunities.
* Appraising both strategic and short-term opportunities.
* Negotiating heads of terms and contracts on new opportunities.
* Liaising with agents, landowners, promoters, and other key stakeholders.
* Presenting and reporting for internal board approvals.
Requirements:
* Relevant or related undergraduate and/or postgraduate qualifications.
* IT proficiency, particularly with the MS Office suite.
* Report writing skills and excellent business English with good attention to detail.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Land buying experience.
* Committed to providing professional, proactive, and innovative solutions.
* Dedicated to adding value at all opportunities.
* Detailed understanding of the planning process.
* Experience instructing, managing, and working alongside legal professionals in contract negotiation.
* A willingness and ability to work with initiative and manage other team members.
