The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students to develop strong literacy skills and a love for the subject. You will join a committed department with strong leadership and access to excellent teaching resources.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver well-structured English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in accordance with school and DfE standards.
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities.
Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and wider school life.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
Excellent classroom management skills.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
A proactive, professional, and student-focused approach.
