The Cut & Craft is a group of independently owned and operated British steak restaurants
specialising in crafting luxurious and memorable dining experiences. It currently operates two premium and busy sites in York and Leeds City Centre.
We have opened a new flagship site in the heart of Manchester City Centre. The Cut & Craft will be housed in a historic Grade II* listed building on Moseley Street.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting the culinary staff by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the hospitality industry and eager to learn more about food preparation and culinary practices within a hotel or restaurant setting.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, ensuring all items are ready for use by chefs.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
* Support the cooking staff by helping with basic food preparation tasks as required.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
* Dispose of waste and maintain recycling practices in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
* Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
* Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
* Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is beneficial.
* A background in hospitality or culinary arts would be an asset.
* Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
