Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Yard and sales Operative, located in Chelmsford. The Yard Operative will be responsible for managing and organizing inventory, preparing materials for delivery, assisting customers in locating and loading products, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the yard area. The role may also include operating machinery such as forklifts and collaborating with sales staff to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
Experience in inventory management and organization
Ability to operate machinery, such as forklifts, and knowledge of safety protocols
Customer service skills, including assisting customers with locating and loading materials
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members
Physical stamina and capability to handle manual labor
Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and pick orders in a timely fashion
Experience in the roofing or building materials industry is a plus
Basic telephone skills
Basic Windows and Excel knowledge
Full UK driving licence is a plus
Forklift licence and Experience is a plus
this job is Monday to Friday
7 am till 4 30 pm
unlike most merchants we don't work weekends
