We are seeking a proactive and highly organised team player to join the University’s Corporate Governance and Committees Unit within the Corporate Services Directorate. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality administrative support to the Board of Governors and its sub‑committees, ensuring the smooth management of committee business and assisting Governors in fulfilling their responsibilities.
You will bring relevant administrative experience within a higher education institution or similar organisation and will be able to demonstrate:
* Ability to take high-quality minutes and service meetings to a high standard
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities
* Confidence and resilience in working with senior stakeholders
* A collaborative approach, with the capacity to work independently at pace and under pressure

The Corporate Services Directorate leads and supports the University’s governance, legal, risk, and data compliance functions. Its remit includes:
* Board of Governors support
* Legal services
* Health and safety
* Risk and business continuity
* Data returns and reporting
* Information governance
* Regulatory compliance
Working within this team offers broad exposure across the University, including involvement in major projects; regulatory engagement; and responding to government policy and legislation. You’ll collaborate with senior managers, external partners, and peers across the University, contributing to the University’s effective and efficient operations and the delivery of our innovative and ground-breaking Town House Strategy.
This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of £39,407 per annum.
