Principal ILS & Obsolescence Engineer

Role Overview:
* Location: UK-based (hybrid working available)

What You’ll Be Doing:
* Leading and embedding ILS and obsolescence processes across major engineering programmes
* Acting as the go-to ILS specialist, advising engineering teams throughout the full product lifecycle
* Supporting high-profile maritime and defence projects critical to UK capability
* Building trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
* Providing technical oversight of suppliers and ensuring ILS standards are met
* Coaching and mentoring engineers within the ILS & Obsolescence function
* Representing ILS at programme and stakeholder level with confidence and credibility
Main Skills Needed:
* Strong, hands-on experience in ILS and obsolescence engineering methodologies
* Background in systems, software, or complex engineering environments
* Degree-level qualification in an engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Proven ability to manage customer and supplier relationships
* Confident communicator with a collaborative, people-first approach
* Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring within teams
