Mechanical Design Engineer - Full-Time and Permanent
Jackson Hogg is delighted to be recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer of our client who are a leading project delivery specialist providing full turnkey EPC solutions to the bulk material handling and plant processing markets.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing and dynamic engineering team, and the successful candidate will be responsible for designing equipment and systems to meet project briefs, producing high-quality technical documentation including drawings, 3D models, bills of materials, and manufacture packs.
Key Responsibilities

Design and develop equipment and systems in line with project requirements.
*
Produce accurate 3D models and technical drawings in accordance with CAD standards.
*
Prepare and maintain all relevant technical documentation.
*
Manage drawings, models, bills of materials, and associated documents using company systems.
*
Undertake peer reviews of designs and technical documents.
*
Contribute to and attend design review meetings.
*
Ensure compliance with project briefs, standards, and regulations.
Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer:
Essential:
*
Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
*
Strong 3D CAD skills (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
*
Good knowledge of technical drawing and drafting standards (BS 8888).
*
Strong understanding of the design process and supporting documentation.
*
Knowledge of manufacturing processes relevant to mechanical design.
Desirable:
*
Industry experience in bulk material handling or heavy plant equipment.
*
Familiarity with additional CAD platforms and design tools.
