Due to their continuous success, their Glasgow team is expanding and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their Glasgow office.
Role Overview
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be involved in every phase of project delivery, from initial feasibility studies to final completion, across a diverse range of sectors such as commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use.
This role provides the chance to contribute to impactful projects and shape the future of the built environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the design and specification of electrical systems for building services projects.
* Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
* Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Taking responsibility for managing budgets and schedules
* Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion, including site inspections and client meetings.
Requirements
* Degree in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering
* 4+ years of post-degree experience
* Proven experience in electrical design within the building services sector
* Strong understanding of UK building regulations and CIBSE guidelines
* Proficiency using AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, Amtech, NBS, etc
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Excellent written and numerical skills
* A positive \"can do\" attitude, and the willingness to learn
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (CEng, IMechE or equivalent) is desirable.
