Job Purpose
* Teach and support students by adopting a learner‑centred approach and being committed to contributing towards delivery of a first‑class student experience.
* Be a team‑player and contribute to the wider work of the campus.
* Practice an inclusive approach and support building an inclusive university community where people can be themselves.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* With support, design and deliver high quality, innovative and challenging learning experiences, using current theory and practice together in lively debate.
* With support, undertake associated activities in connection with the courses taught including personal tutoring, recruitment, assessment, review and evaluation.
* Contribute to the student experience – demonstrating an awareness of the need for ‘customer focus’ in respect of resolving issues.
* Contribute to the promotional work of the department.
* Support students in supervising placements, learning in practice, internships and work‑related activities.
* Deliver pastoral care and project supervision of students.
* With support, plan and deliver the curriculum using appropriate media, including the use of IT.
* Provide effective feedback, support and guidance to students, which promotes improvement of performance.
* Engage in professional development activities (e.g. CPD, attendance at conferences) relating to teaching, learning and assessment.
* Maintain and foster the high reputation of the University.
* Comply with relevant legislative and other requirements (e.g. the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR; Health and Safety; UKVI; and Equality and Diversity) in all working practices.
* Such other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a teaching qualification and/or FHEA, live within commuting distance of Nottingham campus, and have a right to work in the UK.
Candidates must have experience of teaching their subject at degree level and hold a higher qualification or professional experience in the field.

Ability to adopt a learner‑centred approach, competence in maintaining a high standard of student support, and a strong commitment to inclusive practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
