Main duties
* We are seeking SLTs at the beginning of their career or those returning to practice to join the acute hospital setting team. Roles involve assessment and management of swallowing and communication difficulties and development of knowledge and skills in these areas.

Requirements and qualifications
* Essential: Diploma/degree in Speech and Language Therapy with HCPC registration; Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
* Essential: Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, counselling, listening, empathy and communication skills; good organisational skills; ability to work as a team member
* Essential: Knowledge of assessment tools relevant to adult acquired communication and swallowing disorders; knowledge of national policies relevant to acute settings; evidence-based knowledge of treatment techniques for adult disorders; understanding of clinical governance and record-keeping standards; awareness of the roles of other professionals
* Desirable: Experience in acute hospital settings; experience with instrumental swallowing assessments (FEES, videofluoroscopy); membership of Clinical Excellence Networks
