Freedom Care are a growing business that have been working with young people and families to improve outcomes for over 20 years. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Support Worker to assist a family with 3 children in Wimborne. The role is primarily focused on supporting the parents within the home environment, helping to establish positive routines, and role modelling effective strategies to support their children, who have a range of neurodiverse needs. Hours: Job Share 3 hours Sundays 2 x 4 Hours on weekdays Key Responsibilities * Work closely with parents to role model and promote positive behaviours and parenting techniques * Provide structured, practical support to help manage day-to-day routines * Support a calm and consistent environment that meets the emotional and sensory needs of the children * Assist with family activities and engagement, both in the home and out in the community * Communicate effectively with both children and parents to build trust and consistency Requirements * Experience working with neurodiverse children (including ASD and learning/sensory difficulties) * Background in family support work or a similar role * Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent * Confident driver with access to a vehicle * Empathetic, reliable, and confident in supporting parents as the primary caregivers This is a meaningful opportunity to support and empower a family, making a real difference in their daily lives.
