Pre-registration Pharmacy Technician Level 3 apprenticeship

We are seeking Pre‑registration Pharmacy Technician Level 3 Apprentices to join our team. The role involves earning while you learn through a 2‑year distance‑learning training programme with the University of East Anglia, supported by a dedicated training team. You will work across hospital pharmacy settings and study for a Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice.
Job responsibilities
* Providing medications to inpatients, wards and patients visiting outpatient clinics
* Communicating with Oxford University Hospitals staff and patients at our reception or via telephone
* Using the pharmacy computer systems
* Counselling patients on medications
* Working alongside a medicines management technician on wards
* Working in the cancer satellite pharmacy and clinical trials team
Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 GCSEs (equivalent) at grades A‑C or 4, including Biology, Chemistry, Maths and English (or an equivalent science award)
Experience
* Work experience in hospital or community pharmacy preferred

* Methodical with attention to detail following accepted SOPs

* Self‑motivated
* Flexible approach to work

Knowledge
* Understanding of the roles of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists in hospital/community settings

Salary
£28,392 to £31,157 per year – 70% of the top of band 4 in year one, rising to 75% in year two.
