Blick & a boutique law firm specialising in Family and Matrimonial Law with a high-net-worth client base. Abigail Blick, senior partner, is seeking a highly organised and efficient legal Secretary/PA to provide comprehensive administrative support within a busy legal practice.
Role Description
Of utmost importance is the transcription of considerable audio dictation. The candidate would necessarily need to be a competent, fast and accurate typist.
In addition the candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong IT proficiency and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail and confidentiality are paramount.
* Prepare and proofread legal documents, correspondence and reports with accuracy
* Perform audio typing of legal proceedings, letters and memos using specialised software
* Manage calendars, appointments and schedules for solicitors and legal teams efficiently
* Organise meetings and prepare agendas
* Maintain and update case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and securely stored
* Handle incoming calls, emails and correspondence professionally ensuring prompt responses
* Utilise Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Outlook for daily administrative tasks
* Upload case management files onto the Family Court platform
* Assist with IT-related issues or requests to ensure smooth office operations
* Support the team with general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and data entry.
* Ensure compliance with confidentiality protocols at all times
Experience
* Previous administrative experience within a legal or professional environment is highly desirable
* Proven experience in audio typing with high accuracy and speed
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Good IT literacy with the ability to adapt to new software systems quickly.

Salary range
