Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled female carer to join our established team working in the person's home. You will be confident in postural care for neck-down paralysis. Hours are contracted Wednesday to Fridays 8pm to 7am (33hrs weekly) with 28 days annual leave (pro rata).
Post will commence in October with a probationary training period - please note training times are 9am-2pm Wed to Fri and will then commence 8pm-7am shifts from Nov 7th
Senior Responsibilities
* Confident and trained in carrying out solo hoisting and transfers.
* Confident and trained in carrying out solo bed rolls at set times throughout the night.
* Confident providing wife-and-husband care solo, meeting both paralysis (wife) and dementia (husband) needs as required throughout the eveNing, night and morning.
* Maintain accurate records of clinical care provided and any changes in their condition.
* Maintain training records for the team as a wider administrative role.
Experience
* Previous experience in senior care or within a care home setting is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with residents and their families.
* Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is advantageous.
* Famililiarity with working within a CCTV monitored setting and providing care to PHB requirements.
