About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensure resident wellbeing is prioritized. You should have some kitchen experience, or be willing to study for an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation. Strong organisational skills, the ability to follow recipes, and considerate communication with residents and colleagues are essential.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond appropriately. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
