A local council based in London is looking to hire a Power App Developer for a 3-6 month contract. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in designing, building, and improving Microsoft Power Platform "Service Packs" that integrate Finance, HR, Contracts, Risk, and Service‑performance data into user-friendly Power Apps and dashboards. These tools will enable decision-makers across the Council to access timely insights, enhance efficiency, and support evidence-based outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shape and maintain the technical roadmap for Service Packs aligned with the Council's Digital Strategy and M365 optimization plan.
2. Establish and enforce development standards, naming conventions, environment strategies, and ALM processes for Power Platform solutions.
3. Promote best practices, accessibility, and user-centered design in Digital & Customer Solutions according to team standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL‑400)
* 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting Power Apps and Dataverse solutions in production environments.
* Experience integrating with systems like Integra, Axiom, Northgate/Zellis via REST or OData APIs.
* Proficiency in Power Fx, JavaScript/TypeScript, .NET C#, T‑SQL, DAX, and JSON.
* Knowledge of Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, and DevOps pipelines.
* Strong data modeling, ETL, and SQL performance tuning skills.
* Ability to lead Agile ceremonies, mentor junior developers, and manage product backlogs.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and documentation skills.
Additional Responsibilities
You will translate diverse, evolving stakeholder requirements into robust, secure, and scalable Power Apps connecting to multiple data sources, delivering value quickly. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential.
