Are you an experienced Breast Screening Radiographer looking for a new opportunity with the National Breast Screening Programme?We are currently recruiting for a Mammographer to join our Breast Screening team based at the Jarvis Centre in Guildford, Surrey.Breast screening the women of Surrey and NE Hants is carried out on a fleet of 5 mobile vans with additional capacity at Jarvis Centre.Assessment Clinics, held at the Jarvis Centre, are staffed by a dedicated multi-disciplinary team of Consultant Radiologists, Associate Breast Clinicians, Advanced Practitioners, Mammographers, Assistant Practitioners and clinical and administration staff following the NHSBSP principles of triple assessment mammography/ultrasound, clinical examination and needle biopsy).


Main duties of the job

What does being an InHealth Mammographer involve?This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week on a local rota across Monday Friday.As a Mammographer at InHealth, you will provide a high-quality imaging service to all users of the service and screen women for breast cancer by mammography. You will participate in assessment clinics including stereotactic biopsies and participate in the support of development of assistant practitioners.This role offers significant development opportunities as you will be expected to take on some additional managerial duties and deputise for the Superintendent Radiographer when appropriate.Allocated time for these duties will be provided.

Job responsibilities

Location: Jarvis Centre, Guildford Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 dependent on experience Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

Were looking for someone with:

BSc in Radiography & PG Cert in Mammography

HCPC registration

Excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work across diverse teams

Technical competence in breast imaging and a commitment to continuous professional development
