Assistant Team Manager – Occupational Therapy (Housing) Salary: Band F – £45,091 – £51,356 per annum (incremental progression subject to performance) Contract: Permanent, Full‑time We are seeking an experienced Assistant Team Manager – Occupational Therapy (Housing) to join our Adult Social Care team. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering high‑quality OT services that promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for Solihull residents. You will oversee the Housing OT Team, providing clinical supervision, managing waiting lists, triaging referrals, and ensuring high standards in the delivery of housing adaptations. Based and working closely with colleagues in the Aids & Adaptations team, Solihull Community Housing, you will provide expert OT advice and leadership to ensure services are person‑centred, strengths‑based, and outcome‑focused. You will: Lead and supervise Housing OT staff, supporting professional development and reflective practice. Manage OT Housing waiting lists, triage referrals, and allocate cases effectively. Keep the Principal OT up to date with Housing OT work, pressures and risks Provide expert input on major adaptations, working with Technical Officers and referring OTs. Scrutinise adaptation referrals to ensure clinical and eligibility standards are met. Ensure compliance with HCPC and RCOT standards, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation. Substantial post‑qualifying experience in OT services, including social care and housing adaptations. Experience of providing professional supervision and performance management. Strong workload management skills and ability to work to deadlines in demanding environments. Commitment to person‑centred, strengths‑based practice and promoting independence. A valid driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle (essential car user post).
