Experienced Monitoring Officer or Deputy Monitoring Officer, or an individual with the capability to step into that role, ideally with experience at the Principal Lawyer or Head of Legal level in a large unitary authority or London.
A candidate with a commercial background and expertise in at least one of the following: contracts/procurement, property and regeneration (including CPO and appropriation), planning, or housing delivery (including council social housing and s20 notices).
Competent in advising on and preparing Cabinet reports, as well as other council documentation.
Experienced in advising project boards and navigating governance issues effectively.
Experience in assessing complaints about members.

Perks of the Role:
Engage in a collaborative and friendly work culture where kindness is welcomed.
Opportunity for professional growth and development.
Contribute to meaningful projects that make a difference in the community.
