Dornan are currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on our datacentre in Newport, Wales.
Dornan are a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland, Mainland Europe, and the UK. Dornan are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Power Generation. Responsibilities
* Preparing method statements and risk assessments with construction team for production activities.
* Prepare reports and front-end studies including capital cost estimates, project schedules, material take offs and tender schedules.
* Prepare technical and contract documentation for issue and analysing returned tenders.
* Keeping up to date the delivery schedule to control deliveries.
* Seeking to clarify queries with the Design team through request for information (RFI) system.
* Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.
* Producing look ahead programs to assist production.
* Carrying out Quality Control through inspections and snagging.
* Carrying out document control, recording and transmitting information.
* Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams across the project.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum six years previous experience within the engineering and construction industry is desirable.
* Strong technical ability in all aspects of Electrical Engineering and Construction Services.
* Experience in Amtech, Dialux, Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, Navisworks, BIM360, BIMCollab and MS Office Suite Software.
* Professionally Registered or working toward Professional Registration.
* Good communicator with the ability to work well with others in a multifunctional team.
* Knowledge & experience of current Design Guides, Codes of Practice, IS and or BS Regulations, Building Regulations, EN Standards and IEC Standards, etc.
* Proactive with a strong ability to work independently and without supervision.
