Job Description
As the Head of Governance and Assurance, you will lead the development and execution of governance frameworks, policies, and procedures across all service provisions on the account. This includes oversight of risk management, compliance, quality assurance, human resources, and financial governance. You will act as a role model for quality and accountability, shaping a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and pride in delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Governance Framework
1. Design, implement, and maintain a robust governance framework with clear accountability and oversight.
2. Regularly review and update governance structures to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
Risk Management
3. Collaborate with account teams to identify, assess, and manage risks.
4. Develop and monitor risk mitigation strategies and controls.
Contractual Compliance
5. Ensure adherence to applicable legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
6. Lead the development and tracking of compliance programmes and procedures.
Quality Assurance
7. Establish and maintain quality assurance systems.
8. Monitor service delivery standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Implement enhancements to quality processes in collaboration with account teams.
Financial Management
10. Oversee account-level financial governance including P&L ownership, working capital optimisation, and debt management.
11. Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and financial reporting.
12. Monitor financial performance and support strategic decision-making through financial insights.
Policy and Procedure Development
13. Create and maintain clear, accessible policies and procedures.
14. Communicate updates effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management
15. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
16. Serve as the primary contact for governance and assurance matters, addressing concerns proactively.
Reporting and Auditing
17. Produce regular reports on governance, assurance, and financial performance.
18. Conduct audits and implement corrective actions based on findings.
Training and Development
19. Deliver training on governance, assurance, and financial protocols.
20. Promote a culture of quality and compliance across the account.
21. Manage succession planning and development for direct reports.
