About the role
The Brighton Centre is an internationally known venue of considerable scale; it hosts conferences, events, exhibitions, meetings, festivals, and concerts with a capacity of up to 5,500. The Brighton Centre sells approximately 250,000 tickets per year for its live entertainment programme, which includes about 90 live performances and 20 major conventions, totaling around 255 occupied event days annually. This contributes an estimated £1bn annually to the economy of Brighton & Hove and supports approximately 18,000 jobs.
The post holder will ensure the Venue is always presented to the highest standards and remains compliant with best practices during non-event days, managing all personnel, contractors, and crew.
In a dynamic business environment, the post-holder must possess a strong customer focus, demonstrate the ability to plan and monitor complex business changes, manage on-site events, and handle large amounts of information daily. Managing multiple accounts with different outcomes, each potentially generating significant revenue, requires attention to detail and an understanding of diverse needs. The ability to read situations quickly and consider the broader impact of decisions is vital.
