We’re scaling fast and looking for a Graphic Design Lead to help elevate the quality, consistency, and execution speed of our creative output.


Role Description

As the Graphic Design Lead, you will be responsible for elevating the visual output across our partner brands, ensuring every creative asset is compelling, polished, and performance-ready.

Embedded within Metastat’s fast-moving creative team, you’ll lead a group of freelance designers and collaborate closely with the Creative Director to bring story-first, cross-platform creative to life. You’ll own the creative execution pipeline - translating strategic direction and creative briefs into platform-ready designs that scale across paid, organic, and brand campaigns.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining aesthetic consistency, improving creative quality, and speeding up the delivery of assets that convert and connect.


Responsibilities

* Lead and manage a team of freelance designers - setting expectations, reviewing work, and ensuring consistent creative quality across all deliverables.
* Own the execution of some ‘higher tier’ creative assets across static, motion, and adapted formats - including cutdowns, variants, and platform-specific versions.
* Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to scope, brief, and prioritise design work across partners.
* Ensure brand visuals are executed flawlessly - aligning with guidelines while optimising for performance on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Meta, YouTube, and Pinterest.
* Oversee the development and packaging of design files for cross-functional teams, ensuring everything is formatted and ready for deployment by performance teams.
* Maintain aesthetic alignment across campaigns - supporting strategists and editors in keeping creative coherent, beautiful, and effective.
* Push forward design best practices and internal systems to increase creative velocity and team efficiency.

* Demonstrates exceptional design craft and a sharp eye for aesthetics, particularly in the beauty and lifestyle space.
* Possesses deep expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, with strong knowledge of performance/growth creative-focused design workflows.
* Leads with clarity and consistency - offering creative direction, feedback, and support that improves quality and speed.
* Experience in growing design teams that work remotely
* Understands paid social creative deeply, knowing how to design for scroll-stopping impact and channel best practices.
* Thrives in fast-paced environments - balancing multiple timelines, teams, and formats with structured organisation and sharp communication.
* Maintains strong attention to detail - spotting inconsistencies, protecting brand visual standards, and upholding design discipline at scale.


Success Metrics

* Delivers consistently high-quality creative assets across formats, timelines, and campaigns, with minimal revisions and strong brand alignment.
* Builds and maintains a high-performing freelance design team that operates efficiently and meets daily creative needs from the creative director/strategists.
* Increases speed and quality of asset delivery through improved feedback loops, versioning processes, and design systems.
* Maintains cohesive brand aesthetics across static and motion design - even across multiple creators, channels, and campaigns.
* Launches assets that perform strongly across paid and organic platforms, contributing to creative success and partner growth.
* Contributes to Metastat’s reputation as a trusted creative partner producing best-in-class, cross-platform visual content.
